What happens when I download an upgrade for my IT-100?
Do I need to backup my IT-100 before upgrading the device?
How will I know if an upgrade is available for the IT-100?

Q. What happens when I download an upgrade for my IT-100?

A. Depending on what version you are upgrading to, an upgrade will add various functions and features to the IT-100. It may also improve the functionality of pre-existing features available on your device.

Q. Do I need to backup my IT-100 before upgrading the device?

A. It is recommended that you backup your IT-100 before and after the upgrade. When you backup the device before the upgrade, should the upgrade fail and corrupt your current configuration files, you can restore your device's previous configuration from the backup. After you successfully upgrade the IT-100, you should immediately backup the new configuration. You will not be able to restore your IT-100 to a prior version after an upgrade.

Q. How will I know if an upgrade is available for the IT-100?

A. When you click on the Upgrade folder in the left-hand sidebar menu in the CoreVista Web® interface, you will be taken to upgrade page. This page displays the current version number of your IT-100 and whether or not any upgrades are available. You can click on the CHECK button on this page to contact the upgrade server and determine if there is a more recent version of CoreVista Web online. If there is, you will be able to download and install the upgrade. Additionally, you can also select the option to receive email notifications of available updates on the Registration page in CoreVista Web in Express Setup after you click the FINISH button.
