WLAN

WLAN stands for Wireless Local Area Network and describes a group of computers connected wirelessly in a office or company environment. The WLAN port on the IT-100 is not a physical connection. An internal antenna in the IT-100 transmits and receives data and is used by the wireless computers in your home or office to connect to the device. Once you have your computers connected to the IT-100's WLAN, those computers will be able to communicate with each other, with computers on your LAN network, and with the Internet. The WLAN port is assigned with the IP Address of 10.9.9.1 and Subnet Mask of 255.255.255.0 by default (see IP Address and Subnet Mask in this Glossary for details) A WLAN network is also called a wireless network. See the Networking sections of the FAQs and HOW TOs for more information.  Also see the Wireless FAQs and HOW TOs.
