RAM

RAM stands for Random Access Memory and is the most common form of memory on computers including the IT-100. When you open a process or program on a computer, it is loaded into RAM and sustained electronically. Think of RAM as the "desktop" for all your active programs on a computer. Physically, RAM is a small circuit chip that fits in a special slot on the motherboard of your computer. The motherboard is the main circuit board inside a computer and contains all of the necessary connections to allow your computer to function electronically. If a computer seems to be performing slowly, one possible cause is that too many programs or processes are running, consuming your RAM resources.
