Linux

Linux is a free, open-source operating system based on UNIX. Originally created by Linux Torvalds, Linux is distributed in a number of different versions such as Debian, Fedora Core, and Ubuntu. There are some versions owned and administered by corporations such as Red Hat and Novell's SUSE. The CoreVista Web (CVW) operating system running on the IT-100 is based on a version of Linux called Slackware.
