HTTP

HTTP stands for Hypertext Transfer Protocol and is the protocol or set of rules that are used to allow a web browser such as Internet Explorer or Firefox to access and display content from a web server. When someone on the Internet opens a web browser and attempts to view a website hosted on the IT-100, HTTP is used to transmit the data stored in the www folder on your device to their browser. HTTP defines the rules that transmit text, graphics, sound, video and other file types written in HTML across the World Wide Web.
