HOW TOs: VPN

A Virtual Private Network or VPN is a process that allows a remotely located computer to connect to your private business network over the
Internet as if the remote computer were directly connected. The IT-100 can be configured to create VPN IP Address Pools and VPN Tunnels that
allow remote computers to connect to it through a secure channel. This is useful if a person wants to work from home or travels on business but
still needs to connect to the business network. The computer can connect to the IT-100 using VPN and an encryption algorithm prevents any data
going between the remote computer and the private network from being accessed by unauthorized people. It is as if there is a direct, point-to-point
link between the remote computer and the private network. Once the remote computer is connected, it can access any shared files and folders on the
IT-100 or shares on the other computers on your network.
