HOW TOs: File Sharing

The IT-100 has a file server that allows you to upload, store and share
data on your local network. By default, there are two types of folders;
the Public folder and the Home folder. The Public folder can be accessed
by anyone on the network and anyone can upload, modify, and download files
in that folder. Each authorized user on the IT-100 has a Home folder accessible
by only that user. Any individual user can store their data in their own
Home folder but they cannot access the Home folders of any other user.
You can also create a customized share folder and allow only certain users
on the network access to that folder. Additionally, you can assign an
administrator for the customized share who has special privileges to the
folder that ordinary users do not have. You can create specific groups
of users and then give a group rights to access a folder rather than give
access rights to each individual one at a time.
