How to Access IT-100 File Shares with Mac OS X

Although most of the documentation regarding the functions
and services on the IT-100
is oriented to PCs running a Windows operating system, the IT-100
supports other client operating systems
including the Mac OS X. Mac users
can connect to and access the same services
on the IT-100 as PC users. This includes the ability to access
shared files and folders on the IT-100 over the LAN.
This is done in a different way on a Mac than on a PC but the steps are
just as easy. Here's how you get started:
Sitting at a Mac
OS X, left-click on any
empty space on the desktop.
You will notice in the toolbar
at the upper-right, the first
menu item is now Finder
Click Go
Click Connect
to Server
In the Server
Address field, type smb://10.9.8.7
Click Connect
Click the Share
drop down menu
Click the desired
share to select it
Click Ok
Type the username
and password of someone who has
access to the desired
Click Ok
