CoreVista Web® Management Tool

Management Interface

CoreVista Web® (CVW) is the customized Graphical User Interface (GUI) feature on the IT-100. When you log onto the IT-100, CVW is the mechanism by which to configure and manage the services and features on your device. The appearance and availability of features will appear differently depending on which account you use to sign onto the box. The manager user has full control of all of the features on the IT-100 plus all of the domains hosted on the device. When the manager logs onto the box, they are taken to the System Summary page.

Menu Navigation

The menu list on the left-hand side allows the manager to open the controls to any service or feature, view statistics and configure settings that affect how those services function. While a complete description of everything the CoreVista Web offers would be too large to present here, we can give you some examples of what you can do when you access CVW.

My Permissions

By clicking the My Permissions link at the top of the left-hand sidebar menu, you can view a list of both the services your account can access as a user and those services you are allowed to administer. You can change your password by clicking on Change My Password at the top of the page or view the manager's FTP activity by clicking on My Ftp Stats.

By clicking on Domains, the manager can create a new domain or configure and modify any of the features of any domain hosted on the IT-100 including DNS for Mail, Web, and other servers on the device.

The manager can create any number of users on the IT-100 for any of the hosted domains. As you can see, the manager has control over the role any user has on the device and on the network and can assign only those permissions and privileges absolutely needed by any particular user. In addition to creating users, the manager can Edit or Delete any account on the IT-100. Also notice the handy Quick Help guide located beneath the main area of the page. Quick Help is designed to provide helpful hints on how the controls work on the CVW page you are visiting.

When another person besides the manager logs onto the IT-100, CoreVista Web appears differently depending on the permissions that user has. This is an example of how CVW looks to an End User.
